Under the Influence
Want to eat like a local? Just ask BrandonFromVegas
Brandon knows food but he’s
quick to reject labels.
“I’m not actually a foodie,” he
said. “I’m a Realtor who helps
people buy their first home, and I
work with the Las Vegas
Metropolitan Police Department
on charity events. The food videos
are just a small part of what I do.”
Still, those videos have made
him a trusted voice for discovering
a different side of Las Vegas—one
that exists well beyond The Strip.
“I wanted people to
understand that Las Vegas isn’t
just The Strip,” he said. “We focus
on locally owned, mom-and-pop
spots. We try to highlight places
that offer real value or a unique
experience.”
His pick for the most
quintessential Vegas restaurant?
Herbs & Rye—“the most Vegas
place in Las Vegas.”
Among his go-to hidden gems:
Marsigliano’s Pizzeria, an
unassuming, owner-run spot
known for standout Italian dishes
and a must-try lobster bisque.
Spring, by China Mama, offers a
more refined take on a local
favorite.
He also recommends It’s All
Greek to Me, Road Kill Grill,
Carolina’s, Golden Boy, and El
Tamalucas.
For a break from eating, and
the typical tourist checklist, catch
a Las Vegas Desert Dogs lacrosse
game—a high-energy, familyfriendly way to experience the city
like a local.
